Being Humble

Bar-Mitzvah-Magazine

RALPH SARDAR chose HUMILITY as a trait for success:

AS A CHILD, NOW, HOW CAN YOU PRACTICE HUMILITY?

The way you should practice humility is starting with your family. Why do we not respect our older sibling the way we respect an older kid in school? Because we know our siblings so well, we don’t respect them. Other people, we know a little about them, which is good. But, with our sibling we see both good and bad in them. But we choose to see bad more often. We should start this midah at home, with our siblings.

EXPLAIN HOW HAVING HUMILITY COULD HELP YOU SUCCEED IN BUSINESS IN THE FUTURE?

When people see you respect people, and how you treat them, they are going to work with you. Even if you’re rich and you humiliate other people, no one is going to work with you, and you’re going to lose your business. If you have amazing ideas, people are going to work with you. But, if you have good ideas but boss people around, you’re not going to get anywhere.

HOW LACKING HUMILITY WILL AFFECT THE SUCCESS OF SOMEONE’S BUSINESS?

You’re not going to get workers. And without worker that’s no business. Did Bill Gates boss people around? Probably not and look, he is so successful.

  1. I think it’s important to be humble because when you’re humble, you put others before you, and when you put people before you, god will reward you for it. It’s important to care about others, and in return they’ll care about you and that’s one of the greatest things that comes between family and friends, and it shows god that you care…
